In preparation for our annual stakeholders’ meeting, we do a retail vacancy report every October. This year, retail vacancy is sitting at an all time low at 2.5%. The Kimco Village on the Park property was not included in the report again this year since it is pending demolition and the spaces are not being leased out at this time.
More good news! The El Salvador Consulate moved into Havana Tower, 1450 S Havana, in May of 2017. Since then, many new businesses supporting the consulate’s mission have moved in and occupancy at Havana Tower is now over 85%! A year ago the occupancy rate was around 25%, so this is a huge improvement!
