Best Costume: (pictured) The famous rock band “Guns & Hoses” won best costume. Congrats to Aurora City Council Members Allison Hiltz and Angela Lawson, Aurora Police Association President Bob Wesner (white wig) and Aurora Fire Protective Association political action committee chair Jimmy Allen. We hear it was Jimmy who came up with the idea to substitute “hoses” for “roses” in the team name to better represent the Police and Fire Associations’ participation in this winning team.

The final fundraising totals are still being tabulated since donations are still coming in through Colorado Gives. We delivered three truck loads of food from the cart races to the food pantry at Comitis Crisis Center. Thank you participants, the guys and gals from Buckley AFB, volunteers and Safeway!
