The westbound turn lane of Colfax Avenue between Quentin and Peoria streets near Peoria Street will be closed starting May 3 for about six months. Alternate routes are advised.

Westerly Creek and Toll Gate Creek Trail Connector Project
Work on the Westerly Creek and Toll Gate Creek Connections to Florida Station project, which includes construction of Aurora’s first protected bike lanes, will start in June and finish in February. For details, visit the project page.

Stephen D. Hogan Parkway Project
Construction is in progress on the Stephen D. Hogan Parkway, a project that will create a connection to the existing 6th Avenue east of Tower Road and connect the existing 6th Parkway at E-470 to the east. The project will wrap up in fall 2019. Visit the project web page for construction updates.

Asphalt Paving Operations
Paving operations continue. Asphalt paving will be applied to sections of State Highway 30 and Picadilly Road. No overnight work is expected.

Sounds from normal construction activities, including safety back up alarms on equipment and horns from construction vehicles, will be used during the work.

Monday through Friday there will be intermittent truck traffic on SH30 from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. Travelers going eastbound and westbound on SH-30 between MP 13 and 14, may experience delays for construction trucks entering and exiting the work zone.

New Traffic Pattern
On Aug. 19, SH30 reopened to through traffic in both directions using the new alignment with the Stephen D. Hogan parkway. Motorists should expect a traffic pattern change and use caution through the construction zone.

Slow down, avoid distractions and pay attention while driving through the construction zone.
