On the first day of the 2025 tax season, a grandmother raising four kids came to our newest North Denver tax site. With an income of just $13,800, she worked with Faye, an AmeriCorps NCCC team leader and Tax Help Colorado volunteer, to file her taxes. After completing the return, Faye discovered she qualified for a life-changing refund of $27,900.
