Experience fun summer adventures in Aurora, CO
Summer is right around the corner, and the city of Aurora has tons of ways for you to enjoy the season! Whether you’re looking to catch a movie under the stars, explore our beautiful parks and open spaces or keep the kids active and learning all summer long, there’s something for everyone.
Here’s what’s heating up this summer:
- Global Fest: Now in its 12th year, Global Fest is a free, multicultural experience bringing the sights, sounds and flavors of nations from around the world to celebrate the diverse people and communities that call Aurora home. Join the fun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 14.
- Summer Activity Guide: From quilting at the Aurora Center for Active Adults to fitness classes at Moorhead Recreation Center and pickleball at the Southeast Recreation Center, our June through August lineup offers something for all ages and interests.
- Music at the Movies: Enjoy free live concerts and family-friendly movies under the stars at community parks across Aurora! Each event kicks off at 5 p.m. Dates: May 28, June 25, July 9 and July 23.
- Parks and Open Space: With over 100 parks and thousands of acres of open space, Aurora offers endless ways to get outside and enjoy nature—whether you’re hiking, biking or just soaking up the sun.
- Camps: Keep the kids active and engaged all summer long! From full-day adventures to specialty camps in sports, art, STEM and more—there are limited spots available, so register today.
- Summer of Imagination: Visit Aurora Public Library from May 27 to July 19 to color your world! For eight weeks, children, teens and adults can explore their library and be part of the summer reading program, for free. Participants who sign up will receive a free book, an activity log filled with reading challenges and colorful activities and the chance to win exciting prizes along the way.
- Aurora Rhythms 2025: This concert series will take place from May to December at different locations throughout the city, offering live music, unique performances and unforgettable experiences.
- Summer Vibes: From family field days to art in the park and glow-in-the-dark dodgeball, this event series brings fun across Aurora all season long, specifically for teens ages 10 to 17. Dates: June 4, July 16 and Aug. 6
- Party for Pollinators: Join us Saturday, June 21, for a buzzing celebration of nature’s hardest workers! Enjoy crafts, garden tours, story time and learn how to support pollinators at home.
- 4th of July Spectacular: Mark us down for your Independence Day plans because you’re invited to our annual 4th of July Spectacular event from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 4. The event will be filled with live entertainment, food and most importantly fun. The fireworks display will start at approximately 9:30 p.m.
