Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Indoor Fields Coming to Havana North

May 3rd, 2017

It’s official, the lease has been signed, and construction started the week of April 25, 2017, according to the property manager of 111 N Havana, Chuck Plevniak.  The Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer organizaton has leased 40,000 SF in the west side of the building at 111 N Havana (NW corner of 1st & Havana north of CommonGround Golf Course).  Concorde Healthcare Training will continue to occupy the east end of that building. The property is owned by Zurich Investments out of LA.

The Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer organization has their contractors working in the building, removing center posts and reinforcing the roof structure of the building to build two indoor soccer fields at 111 N Havana.  There will also be offices, a parent viewing area and snack bar.  The new indoor fields are expected to be ready some time this fall, in time for the winter soccer training season and leagues.  The Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club serves children ages 3 to 18.  They have several outdoor facilities in the Metro Denver area but very few indoor facilities that can be used year round.  We are excited to have this great youth recreation facility on Havana Street.  Big thank yous go out to Yuriy Gorlov of the Aurora Economic Development Council and Scott Berg, City of Aurora Chief Building Official, for helping to make this project happen.
