Thank you to Deb Stanley at Denver7 for interviewing our Executive Director, Chance Horiuchi, for a Shop Small Business feature On Havana Street on November 22, 2023.
Denver7’s morning show featured On Havana Street small businesses and encouraged shoppers to shop small and local along our special district corridor this holiday season.
One of the best places to shop for Small Business Saturday after Black Friday is On Havana Street between 6th Ave. and Dartmouth Avenue with 2100 businesses.
The global business district has 80% small and locally owned businesses but also includes destination big box stores like Costco and Target. The local Colorado community celebrates this corridor for its destination shopping and global eats. For years many drive near and far to shop On Havana Street’s 25+ international markets like Solomon’s European Deli and Nana African Market. The District is home to Mexican Markets, El Salvadorean Markets, Korean Markets, Middle Eastern, Halal Markets and MORE.
If you ever had a favorite food or drink while traveling internationally then you could probably find it again at one of the 100 diverse restaurants along On Havana Street.
