City of Aurora’s Newsletter March 2019
Clear sidewalks are a shared community responsibility, and each of us has a part. Please remember that is the property owner’s responsibility to keep sidewalks adjacent to their property free of snow and ice; that includes those behind the house/business and side fences.
As a reminder, snow and ice must be removed within 24 hours after a snowfall ends, and 48 hours after a snow emergency is declared by the city. If you see snow or ice on public sidewalks that might be hazardous to pedestrians, please contact Access Aurora with the exact location (a physical address is really helpful) so that we can follow up with the property owner. Thank you for doing your part at keeping Aurora safe for all.
