AURORA, Colo. – Residents are invited to attend one of three family-friendly community events this summer to talk with the Build Up Aurora Infrastructure Task Force about infrastructure needs related to public safety, transportation, parks, libraries, recreation, accessibility, and more in Aurora.
Safe, adequate, and well-maintained infrastructure is essential to the city’s economic health and impacts every resident’s quality of life. Aurora’s population has grown nearly 40% in the last 20 years, compounding the city’s infrastructure needs.
The city has entered the next phase in the Build Up Aurora effort to address more than $700 million in unmet critical capital projects required to maintain existing city infrastructure and provide for our growing community’s immediate and future needs.
Launched this year, the Build Up Aurora Infrastructure Task Force is exploring long-term solutions for city infrastructure projects and seeking the community’s input and support. In addition to hosting these community events, the task force team visits local events and community and neighborhood meetings to talk with residents and gather feedback.
Residents are invited to take a short survey through Aug. 31 at EngageAurora.org/BuildUpAurora, where additional information on Build Up Aurora may be found.
