New Affordable Housing Development on East Colorado Avenue

Mayor Coffman spoke at a groundbreaking ceremony for an 81-unit apartment building at 10150 East Colorado Avenue for individuals and families of modest incomes.

The building will be four stories tall with elevators and plenty of common area amenities for the apartment building’s 23 one-bedrooms, 44 two-bedrooms, and 14-three-bedrooms units.

The discounted rents are based on the Average Median (Household) Income in Aurora which is $71,677:

9 units at 30% AMI

7 units at 40% AMI

15 units at 50% of AMI

38 units at 60% AMI

12 units at 80% AMI

The lower rents are made possible through federal tax credits and incentives to developers and not by Aurora’s taxpayers.
