Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse expands in Colorado with Aurora and Louisville Locations
Store offers chef-preferred shopping experience for foodservice operators and general public
DENVER, Colo. (May 30, 2024)— Shamrock Foods, the largest family-owned independent foodservice distributor in the West, is growing its over 50-year Colorado presence with the opening of two additional Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse retail stores. A store in Aurora will open on Friday, June 14, 2024 and in Louisville on Thursday, July 18, each bringing a one-stop shopping solution for restaurant operators and access to wholesale grocery products for the general public.
The openings bring the company’s total store count to 13 and its Colorado store count to six to broaden Shamrock’s geographic coverage of the state and best serve the thriving culinary industry. The 25,000-square-foot Aurora store is located at 2802 S. Havana Street and will largely serve Aurora and Southeast Denver. The 28,000-square-foot Louisville store located at 785 E. South Boulder Rd. will be convenient for Boulder, Louisville and Northwest Denver. Combined, the stores will create 45 jobs in the market.

The stores are designed to complement Shamrock Foods’ Colorado foodservice distribution business by allowing existing customers to supplement their direct delivery orders with the professional foodservice brands they know and love. Open to the public and with no membership fees, the stores’ thousands of chef-approved products are also easily accessible at great prices to caterers, food trucks, home cooks, community organizations, schools, and more.
The new locations join Colorado stores in Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Grand Junction, which each recently received store updates and increased product offerings. Featuring approximately 6,000 products, Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse stores stock everything from high-quality meats and seafood to a variety of fresh produce and premium dairy, plus hundreds of items are Colorado-grown or manufactured. In addition, it’s stocked with disposables, cleaning supplies, kitchen equipment and appliances. Shoppers also enjoy access to more than 15,000 additional items direct from Shamrock Foods, with next-day store pick up on most items.

Grand opening activities include vendor demonstrations, exclusive giveaways for the first 100 customers with special savings, food trucks and product sampling. Each opening also serves as the kick-off to a month-long food drive supporting two local Feeding America food banks – Food Bank of the Rockies for Aurora and Community Food Share) for Louisville. Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse will donate an initial $5,000 at each opening to jumpstart the drives.
