Exxon C-Store Soft Opening Thursday, February 16, 2017–You’re Invited!

February 13th, 2017

You are all invited to stop by the new Exxon Mobile Convenience Store & Gas Station at 897 S Havana (NW Corner of Kentucky and Havana) on Thursday, February 16, any time after 8 a.m., for the soft opening and a tour.  Many of you will remember that 897 S Havana was the location of the old house/medical office of Dr. Frederick Eframo.  Dr. Eframo passed away in November of 2011 and the property exchanged hands a couple of times after his passing.  The old doctor’s office building sat empty for several years, had been broken into by squatters and had been tagged by graffiti artists on many occasions to the point that it was being referred to as the “graffiti house.”  The graffiti house was finally demolished, after asbestos abatement was completed, but it has been almost 4 years since this project was proposed.  The property is currently owned and being developed by a group of software engineers from Parker, CO, who also own a similar C-Store/gas station on Main Street in Parker.  You are invited to stop by the soft opening of this new Exxon Mobile Convenience Store and Gas Station on Thursday, Feb 16 any time after 8 a.m.  As you can see from the “before and after” pictures below, this redevelopment is a huge improvement to the NW corner of Kentucky & Havana.  Site plans call for extensive water wise landscaping which is scheduled to be planted this spring once the danger of frost has passed.
