AURORA | Havana Street business boosters are already looking to the end of April, when area foodies can enter to $500 win gift cards to Havana Street restaurants.
South Havana Street restaurants and businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic-induced recession, Garrett Walls, president of the Havana business improvement district On Havana, said last week.
But when if smoke clears by May 1, On Havana will launch a week of events and giveaways featuring 100 Havana Street restaurants.
Scores of cultures are represented in South Havana Street restaurants, and the featured week will capture the diversity in its entirety: Japanese, Singaporian, Thai, Egyptian, Nepalese, Somalian and Honduran foods — and many more — are included. Restaurants will also offer discounts and deals to get people back through the doors.
