About a dozen loyal customers and friends showed on up on February 11 at the new Whisper’s Bar location at 1555 S Havana in the Buckingham Village Shopping Center with paint cans and brushes to lend a helping hand. Dustin Forehand got choked up telling us how the group pitched in to paint the awesome city scape backdrop for the new stage and to hang shelves all for free. The work was much appreciated as the bills are piling up and a grand opening is still a little ways off. Whisper’s needs to update some paper electrical plans to match the approved work that was done in the bar before city inspectors will sign off on the electrical permit. The Health Department inspection is scheduled for Feb 13, and Whisper’s will have a better idea after that inspection as to when they might be able to finally open.
