Mark grew up in Streator, Illinois. He attended Southern Illinois University. Mark moved to Denver in 1986 and became a State Farm agent in 1989. Early in his career, Mark identified Aurora and Havana Street as a great opportunity to build an agency in a great community. In 1995 Mark bought and remodeled his building at 1852 S Havana Street, previously known as a Long John Silver’s Restaurant, where he has been ever since. Mark is a fourth generation State Farm Insurance Agent.
Mark has seen Havana Street go through the changes that have resulted in the thriving business climate of On Havana Street today. He was involved in the steering committee and was a board member of the Havana Business Improvement District. Mark has had the pleasure of being involved in events including the Annual Cruzin’ Havana Car Show and the Art 2C Public Art program along Havana. When Mark isn’t involved with business and community On Havana he enjoys the great outdoors and all that Colorado has to offer.
