There’s a new name and a new look for Mike Naughton Ford, which becomes Schomp Ford, part of the Schomp Automotive Group, on February 1, 2021.
“Schomp Automotive is excited to be expanding our footprint on Havana,” said Dealer Principal and CEO Aaron Wallace. “Our experience in Aurora has been very positive. We’ve wanted to add a domestic franchise that offers trucks for some time. Acquiring a well-established Ford dealership like Mike Naughton is a natural complement to our other Havana dealerships.” Schomp acquired Schomp Subaru, Schomp Mazda and Schomp Hyundai in 2018. Its portfolio includes Schomp BMW, Schomp Honda and Schomp MINI in Highlands Ranch, as well as Mercedes-Benz of Farmington and Porsche Salt Lake City in Utah.
Schomp Ford will immediately adopt the Group’s One Price. One Person. One Hour.® sales philosophy, which offers customers a single point of contact during a purchase. This proven operating method, and providing award-winning guest experience has propelled the Schomp dealerships to their current market leadership positions.
Changes To Note
New ownership will bring some significant changes. Schomp Ford will be closed February 1-2 for staff training, technology upgrades, and improvements in the showroom and service lounge to make them more comfortable and efficient for customers. Doors will be open to guests on February 3rd with operating hours that are congruent with the rest of the Schomp organization; Sales open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am-7pm, and Service/Parts open Tuesday through Saturday from 8am-6pm. Plans for a new showroom and six lane service drive are underway with construction beginning in 2021 and completion scheduled for late 2022. A new website will be available at www.schompford.com.
Chris Kosa
Schomp Ford has appointed Christopher Kosa as general manager. Kosa has more than 25 years of automotive industry experience. He and his family are coming from Gastonia, North Carolina, near Charlotte, where he has been with Toyota and Mazda of Gastonia. “Chris is an automotive professional who understands how pivotal offering a superior customer experience is to us. He is excited to be joining Schomp Ford, and we’re very pleased to have him,” Wallace said.
Other top management and many sales staff members have been drawn from Schomp’s existing dealerships to facilitate a smooth transition. Continuing Mike Naughton staff will be trained in Schomp operating methods.
The Naughton family has owned and operated Mike Naughton Ford for more than 40 years and has a longstanding commitment to philanthropy and the community. Schomp Ford will continue that legacy.
