Bye-Bye cupcake craze, hello Taiyaki! We have a new, unique dessert restaurant that will be opening soon in the Birchtree Center on the SE corner of Jewell and Havana–Snow Bowl Snowl Taiyaki & Boba. Taiyaki is a fish-shaped waffle cone filled with ice cream, known as Asian-Japanese fusion style. A rich waffle batter is used to make the cone in a fish-shaped mold or waffle iron. The mouth of the fish is widened enough to accept ice cream. Snowl will also serve a variety of boba milk teas.
The owner of Snowl previously had a small shop inside H-Mart for several years and was looking for an opportunity to expand her business. She is friends with the owners of Angry Chicken and decided to move into the Birchtree Center, too. This is the tenant space previously occupied by The English Teacup.
Snowl Snow Bowl expects to complete their tenant finish in 2-3 weeks and hopes to be open the end of March or first part of April 2018. The address is 1930 S Havana, Unit 5, next door to Katsu Ramen and in the same center as Dae Gee and Angry Chicken.
