April 1st, 2019

Another new addition to On Havana Street is Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles.

This restaurant is one of the hundreds on the Havana Business Improvement District corridor.

The Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles is located in the former award winning Lucky China Restaurant located next to M Mart and in the Seoul Korean BBQ & Sushi Shopping Center.

Yunnan rice noodles is a popular and signature dish served in China’s Yunnan Province. Yunnan is a southwest Chinese province bordering Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam and well-known its rice noodles. It’s not uncommon to see people have it for all three meals. The dish is served with with fresh rice noodles and ground meat in a bare-bones pork, chicken, liver, or fish broth with customized with as many as a dozen condiments. It is often served piping hot like pho in the winter month or cold for the summer months. The broths are very flavorful and rich. There are many varieties: Yunnan mi xian noodles (round and spaghetti-like) or mi gan (flat and wide) are traditional plus every location of that serves the authentic Yunnanese cuisine has their own flavor and recipes.

Yunnan rice noodles are the new popular food trend in New York and San Francisco. Yunnan noodles are the new ramen in the restaurant and foodie scene. Ramen can often be found in big metropolitan cities and neighborhoods and even On Havana Street, but there aren’t too many places serving authentic Yunnanese cuisine, specifically Yunnan-style rice noodles.

On Havana Street, we are looking forward to the new addition to our business corridor and will update the business district as soon as we learn about their GRAND OPENING date.
