This Year’s On Havana Street Halloween Costume Contest Goes Virtual!

October 8th, 2020

Finally, October is here and no doubt Halloween in on the minds of many Coloradans. Although Halloween night is the main event for trick-or-treating every year in Aurora – collecting sweets from 30+ merchants at The Gardens on Havana – this year’s On Havana Street Halloween Costume Contest is going virtual due to COVID-19.

Although there will be No Trick or Treating at 30+ Merchants at The Gardens on Havana for 2020 due to COVID-19 and safety, their annual costume contest is still taking place this year. However, it will be held virtually in order to promote responsible social distancing and prevent the spread of COVID-19. According to On Havana Street’s official announcement, Gift cards from the On Havana Street Shops will be given to top entries in each of the following categories:

-Most overall creative costume (child or adult): $100 Gift Card from an On Havana Street business
-Best homemade/DIY costume: $100 Gift Card from an On Havana Street business
-Best funny costume: $50 Gift Card from an On Havana Street business
-Best super hero costume: $50 Gift Card from an On Havana Street business

You can also participate with your pet by taking Halloween costume pictures! Participating in their virtual costume contest is very easy. You can submit entries between October 1st and October 31st, there is no cost to enter, and it is a great way to stay connected with the community of Aurora during this unique and unusual Halloween season. This event is sponsored by the Havana Business Improvement District – On Havana Street to support our local businesses. You can also feel free to tag your Halloween costume photos on their Instagram & Facebook pages @OnHavanaStreet and add #OnHavanaStreet.
