The right turn lane onto eastbound East Colfax Avenue will remain open. Alternate routes are suggested.

Jewell Avenue closure due to pedestrian bridge damage
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of East Jewell Avenue near Overland High School are closed due to recent damage to the pedestrian bridge over the road. The road will remain closed until further notice while the damage is assessed. Detours are in place; alternate routes are advised.

Six-month closure of turn lane on Colfax

The westbound turn lane of Colfax Avenue between Quentin and Peoria streets near Peoria Street will be closed starting May 3 for about six months. Alternate routes are advised.

Picadilly Road closure

Picadilly Road will be closed from 56th Avenue to 64th Avenue from March 28 for about 180 days for roadway utilities/improvements. Please follow detour routes.

Fitzsimons-Peoria Stormwater Outfall Project
Work is being done to upgrade the stormwater conveyance capacity in the Fitzsimons-Peoria corridor to meet current city standards. When completed, the project will provide improved flood protection to about 230 residents and 40 businesses. Visit Fitz-Peoria.org for details.

Westerly Creek and Toll Gate Creek Trail Connector Project
Work on the Westerly Creek and Toll Gate Creek Connections to Florida Station project, which includes construction of Aurora’s first protected bike lanes, will start in June and finish in February. For details, visit the project page.

Stephen D. Hogan Parkway Project
Construction is in progress on the Stephen D. Hogan Parkway, a project that will create a connection to the existing 6th Avenue east of Tower Road and connect the existing 6th Parkway at E-470 to the east. The project will wrap up in fall 2019. Visit the project web page for construction updates.

Asphalt Paving Operations
Paving operations continue. Asphalt paving will be applied to sections of State Highway 30 and Picadilly Road. No overnight work is expected.

Sounds from normal construction activities, including safety back up alarms on equipment and horns from construction vehicles, will be used during the work.

Monday through Friday there will be intermittent truck traffic on SH30 from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. Travelers going eastbound and westbound on SH-30 between MP 13 and 14, may experience delays for construction trucks entering and exiting the work zone.

New Traffic Pattern
On Aug. 19, SH30 reopened to through traffic in both directions using the new alignment with the Stephen D. Hogan parkway. Motorists should expect a traffic pattern change and use caution through the construction zone.

Slow down, avoid distractions and pay attention while driving through the construction zone.
