Aurora Warms the Night (AWTN) provides motel vouchers for people experiencing homelessness during cold weather. AWTN is currently housing 200+ people in three area motels since Wednesday, December 19, as part of their cold weather activation plan. The cold weather is not going to let up soon and these people need food. AWTN is afraid they will run out of food before the vouchers run out.
Aurora Warms the Night sent out an urgent request for food the afternoon of December 27, 2017. Anyone who can help is asked to bring food items that can be cooked in a microwave in the motel rooms. Items like cup of noodles, ramen noodles, cup of soup, cups of mac & cheese, as well as peanut butter & Jelly, bread, etc. You can drop the food off directly at the 3 motels that Aurora Warms the Night is working with to house the homeless during this cold weather activation:

–Star Motel, 3850 Peoria St, Denver, CO 80238
