This family-owned and operated Latin cuisine and empanada restaurant is new to Aurora, CO, and the special district along On Havana Street.
Orejano offers delicious Latin cuisine like their handmade empanadas with a variety of flavors from Criolla Beef, Chicken Chipotle, Caprese, and more. They also serve a selection of chicken and steak sandwiches and the Chivito, the national dish of Uruguay, a sandwich made of sliced beefsteak, mozzarella, ham, tomatoes, mayo, and black or green olives.
Early March 2024 – Redevelopment and Construction began – Orejano Causal Latin Cuisine & Empanada Restaurant, 800 S Havana Street, former StevO’s Pizza, under construction
At Orejano, we’re passionate about handcrafting each empanada with care and authentic flavor. Our kitchen offers a rotating menu of creative fillings, ranging from classic beef (Criolla) and shredded chicken to vegetarian delights like spinach and Caprese—each encased in a tender, golden pastry.
But there’s more than just empanadas on the menu. You’ll also find a fresh selection of Latin comfort dishes—think savory bowls, salads, and other satisfying eats designed to pair beautifully with our star pastry. It’s casual, approachable, and perfect whether you’re grabbing a solo snack or sharing with friends.
The excitement is already building:
“This place has the best empanadas I have ever tasted! Everyone needs to try them! The blue cheese and onion are definitely my favorites!” — Joey K. (via Visit Aurora)
Reddit users in r/denverfood also chimed in during the soft opening:
“Starting at 4 pm, enjoy a menu of delicious Latin cuisine like their handmade empanadas…”
We can’t wait to welcome you! We’re open daily for lunch and dinner, with catering available for local events once our full kitchen is up and running. Whether you’re in the mood for a savory snack, a cozy meal, or something fresh and Latin-inspired, Orejano is here to delight your taste buds and make you feel right at home.
