Aurora is home to more than a dozen microbreweries. Enjoy a tasting flight of their newest Fall flavored beers. Dry Dock Brewing Company already released their Docktoberfest a Marzen-style brew with notes of German malt. Peak to Peak Tap & Brew’s newest location on Colfax Ave is serving up Das Boot! Dunkel, a traditional dark lager with German malt. Ursula Brewery, Launch Pad Brewing, Cheluna Brewing, Pilothouse Brewing, and Bent Barley Brewing Company all have a fall-style beer that is perfect for the season.
As apples begin to ripen, enjoy them differently. Haykin Family Cider opened last year and serves delightful cider made from only Colorado-sourced apples. Their process is simple, add water, yeast, and apples to create a truly unique flavor profile that lets the apple flavor shine. This small-batch cidery has a trendy taproom open Thursday-Sunday where you can enjoy cider by the glass or grab a flight to share.
Aurora’s local coffee shops are feeling the season. Jubilee Roasting Co., located near the Anschutz Medical Campus, has unique menu items that reflect the changing temperature. Logan House Coffee inside Stanley Marketplace is also an excellent spot for spending a chilly afternoon. Endless Grind Coffee has a Nutella espresso drink that can be enjoyed hot, iced, or blended. Or try their Denver Fog with notes of earl grey, vanilla, and lavender.
Stop by The French Press and try one (or a few) of their seasonal sweets in addition to a full café and coffee menu. Pumpkin spice cannoli’s, muffins, cookies, and more line the counter. Yum Yum Cake & Pastries is filled with treats from around the world, including macaroons and sponge cakes. Mojo Coffee is also a great all-day option for tasty treats, including cakes and baked goods. They’re open until 8:00 PM.
As cooler weather moves in, gear up for bowls of ramen. Over the summer, Aurora welcomed a variety of new restaurant, ranging from sushi to Cajun eats. Shin Miao Dao – Ten Second Noodles is fresh hot pot restaurant located On Havana Street. Add your noodles to the boiling broth alongside meats and veggies to create custom noodle dishes. If breakfast is more your style, New Day Café serves up American-classic breakfasts including customizable omelets and waffles.
Aurora’s award-winning restaurants, Annette, is rolling out its seasonal menu to reflect the changing colors. Diners can expect American-style dishes complete with in-season produce, like acorn squash and pumpkin. For sweet eats after dinner, try the homemade pecan pie that’s perfect for sharing. Diners can also enjoy a new Fall menu at Bettola Bistro. A locally loved Italian eatery, Bettola owner’s Chef Samir and Rachel, are headed to Italy this month for inspiration for their new menu which will debut in mid-October 2019.
