Safety Events hosted at the summer HSGM with APD and other community partners + District distributed wheel locks and catalytic converter stickers at the markets with Target. Chance and APD ordered 300-wheel locks and distributed them at the HSGM night markets in June, July, and August.

APD Second Employment Requests set up for the 3-night markets and 2-drive in movies for 2023
The project is currently under construction with the following progress and anticipated timeframes.
Pacific North, LLC., the developer, is under construction on the mixed building on Havana Street which includes 18,000 square feet of retail, and 32 multi-family, condominium units, anticipated to be completed July 2023.
A second, 76-unit condominium building is currently under construction, with completion anticipated in early 2024.
Construction has begun on the first 86-unit, town home building with completion anticipated by the end of the year.
The project has completed Harrison St, the North-South Road through the development, which is a benchmark in the redevelopment agreement with Aurora Urban Renewal Agency.
Summer 9NEWS Campaign – Havana Motor Mile campaign reached over 3 million people to promote the car buying experience on the Motor Mile. We used KUSA-TV to reach the masses across the Denver Market Area (DMA) while using PreRoll to reach the zip codes around the Motor Mile to build targeted awareness AND build stronger frequency for those area homes. It’s a perfect combination.
8/3/2023, 2-3pm, High Hollows Meeting with APD – This meeting resulted in live cameras on HBID properties, more patrols and faster response times regarding property crimes.
8/24/2023 OHS hosted the ALG, ASCI, Korea Town Aurora, and the Senegal Delegation at Paris Baguette (see group photo in front of the new art mural near Paris Baguette at the Gardens on Havana).
8/30/2023 hosted OCN EATS with Larry Herz at 5 NEW restaurants in the District for $2500 + a CBS feature of OHS, all content will be shared with the stakeholders at no cost. We filmed at Paris Baguette, Nile Ethiopian, Tofu Story, Yong Gung and Mariscos Los Tres Rios.
Wednesday, October 18, 2023 6-8:30p, FREE, 2023 Business Advisory Board – Aurora Business Recognition Awards Ceremony, The HBID was awarded two awards. Learn More Here: https://onhavanastreet.com/aurora-businesses-honored-at-recognition-ceremony/Energy Leader Award: This annual award—developed as an outcome of the city’s Energy Action Plan created and implemented as part of Aurora’s participation as an Xcel Energy Partners in Energy community—is designed to recognize businesses that demonstrate leadership and dedication to energy conservation and innovation. The inaugural recipient is the Havana Business Improvement District Board and the district’s executive director, Chance Horiuchi, for actively participating in the implementation of the city’s Energy Action Plan, highlighting the unique energy needs and interests of the district’s member businesses and supporting energy action through customized delivery of energy information. Among other things, they connected businesses to key resources like rebates through their communications channels and built successful relationships between Xcel Energy and the district’s businesses for low- to no-cost energy assessments and on-site improvements.Aurora-South Metro Small Business Development Center’s Chuck Hahn Small Business Advocate of the Year Award: As executive director for the Havana Business Improvement District, Chance Horiuchi works tirelessly to support 2,100 businesses in a global district that offers arts, shopping, dining, living and more.
